Community Dinner

Next dinner:
Feb 18, 2018
Doors open 3:45, dinner at 4:00
Everyone welcome!!

A free community dinner (with a free-will offering jar) is offered monthly with the exception of July, August and December. We serve between 80 – 100 people each month with those attending reflecting a cross–section of our community; from teens to new parents with babies to the elderly. All are welcomed, birthdays are celebrated, and the atmosphere is loud and comfortable. It’s a time of shared laughter, fun, companionship, hope and good, healthy food.

The St John’s Anglican Church (with Rick Warren as the coordinator) started this community event in 2001!! In that time, so many friends and connections have been made. The volunteers are what keep this program going. We have volunteers to chop veggies, make desserts, cook the main course, butter the buns, organize utensils, serve the food, room set-up, signage, wash dishes, welcome guests, chairs, and more! There are usually two volunteer shifts; 8:00am-10:00am (room setup and food prep) and 3:45pm-6:00pm (serving food, cleanup).

We welcome ALL guests and ALL volunteers!

Check out the events page or our Facebook Page for dates. It is usually the 3rd Sunday of the month.

Contact Trish Warren (coordinator) for any information,
